  • Tom Venuto’s, Burn the Fat - Feed the Muscle holds a very special place in my heart. This is the nutrition and workout program that rescued me from a miserable and incredibly ineffective 1.5 year long experience with Weight Watchers & South Beach.

It took me 1.5 years to lose 45lbs starving myself and running myself ragged on the treadmill and tripping over the stepper doing Firm DVDs.

Out of sheer desperation because the pounds were starting to quickly come back on after getting sick and taking a week off my diet (to the tune of 11lbs!), I happened across Burn the Fat - Feed the Muscle. [click to continue…]

I’m just kinda trying out this Zemanta “reblog this” thing they have on MyBlogLog. It’s actually kinda cool! This quote is from Rob over at Former Fat Guy Blog. He’s smart. Listen to him!

Comparison: Weight Watchers “proudly” reports that their users average a 3% (three-percent) weight loss over two years. That equated to just 4.5 pounds for a 150lb person.formerfatguy, Former Fat Guy Blog, Dec 2008

You should read the whole article.

I follow Rob, formerfatguy, on Twitter which is how I found this - so if you don’t Twitter, you might wanna - great way to find GOOD, reliable, USEFUL information.  And find out what strangers do before bed. Yeah, I know. It’s weird. I didn’t “get it” either, until I tried it. Kinda like how I didn’t “get” the eating “healthy” thing Rob talks about in this post!!

Rob is one of the good guys who is not trying to make a buck by preying on your fears, insecurities, emotions, and a host of other things that I will talk about in my “About Me” video that I will post hopefully today. So, go read his Former Fat Guy Blog.

    ….on the inside.

Or, well, yeah I sorta am still!!  Which is why my submission to 12 Days of Fitness, (see this post if you missed the press release) is titled:

“Fat On The Inside: Finding & Keeping Motivation For Permanent Weight Loss”

This isn’t anything like the typical motivation material you’ve seen. I am going to get inside your head because I’ve been there. I know exactly where you are and I know exactly what you need in order to achieve you weight loss goals. And besides, I’m a Scorpio and I’m just kinda good at that getting inside other people’s head sort of thing!

“Fat On The Inside: Finding & Keeping Motivation For Permanent Weight Loss” is an interactive workbook and includes an optional video exercise. I’m not just going to “tell” you what you need to do to get and stay motivated in order to lose weight - I’m going to allow you to actually experience FOR YOURSELF the #1 Motivation Mistake nearly EVERY dieter I’ve EVER spoken with has made.
