….on the inside.

Or, well, yeah I sorta am still!!  Which is why my submission to 12 Days of Fitness, (see this post if you missed the press release) is titled:

“Fat On The Inside: Finding & Keeping Motivation For Permanent Weight Loss”

This isn’t anything like the typical motivation material you’ve seen. I am going to get inside your head because I’ve been there. I know exactly where you are and I know exactly what you need in order to achieve you weight loss goals. And besides, I’m a Scorpio and I’m just kinda good at that getting inside other people’s head sort of thing!

“Fat On The Inside: Finding & Keeping Motivation For Permanent Weight Loss” is an interactive workbook and includes an optional video exercise. I’m not just going to “tell” you what you need to do to get and stay motivated in order to lose weight - I’m going to allow you to actually experience FOR YOURSELF the #1 Motivation Mistake nearly EVERY dieter I’ve EVER spoken with has made. • I Believe….

    In response to Dax’s challenge……

I believe in humanity. I believe that despite some of the hurtful things we sometimes do to ourselves and to others that we are all “good” at the core.

I believe that the body and mind are reflections of our spirit or soul; all three are inextricably bound.

I believe that reality begins in the mind. I believe we create our own reality. I believe that my reality is a direct reflection of my thoughts.

I believe the only way to be happy is to live your life for YOU. YOU must always be the priority. There’s a saying I like, “If Momma ain’t happy, Ain’t nobody happy!” That saying was on a t-shirt someone gave me back when I was not such a happy person.

I believe that only we know and have the responsibility to choose for ourselves what we value, what makes us happy.

I believe we are all connected. I believe that if I think negative things about myself, those negative thoughts manifest themselves in the real world and will sooner or later cause harm to someone else.

I believe that when we conduct ourselves in a manner aligned with the core values we have defined for ourselves, the entire world benefits.

I believe that attempting to live up to the standards and values defined by others creates unhappiness. I believe that unhappiness and discontent and not living one’s life according to one’s own core values are the root cause of “evil” (which I actually don’t believe in!).

I believe we all have the responsibility to take care of ourselves, mind, body and spirit.

I believe we nurture and love others only by first loving and nurturing ourselves.
